Site of Tramway Depot
Cnr. Phillip Street: The steam train route inaugurated for the opening of the Garden Palace International Exhibition was only meant to be temporary, for the duration of the Exhibition. It was such a success and so popular that it was kept on. The steam motors and double decker passenger cars came from the United States. The site is marked by a Green Plaque historic marker.
